A sick person was one of the "heavenly messengers" that prompted the Buddha's search for freedom. Yet today, many of us with chronic and life-threatening illnesses find it challenging to apply the Buddha’s teachings to our own experiences. In this workshop, we will explore dharma inroads for relating to illness through brief talks, small group discussions, and meditation. Together, we will investigate possibilities for peace even in the midst of the suffering inherently associated with serious health problems.

This workshop is open to people with chronic or life-threatening illness, pain, or disability and to their loved ones and caregivers. Please make a special effort to use unscented products (including shampoo, lotion, etc.) so that our chemically sensitive friends can attend. Fee: $65.00 Pre-registration required
