This directory doesn't list every establishment that offers a dish or two that fits the categories listed. Instead, the restaurants listed strive to accommodate special dietary needs with unusual and/or wide-ranging options. Below are explanations of some of the restaurant categories.

NOTE: If you have serious allergies, make sure to inquire with the restaurant staff about their preparation methods and the possiblity of cross-contaimination with problematic ingredients.


Gluten Free Options
These restaurants offer unexpected gluten-free dishes that are traditionally made with wheat, such as pizza, pastries, and bread. The restaurants in this category also serve wheat-based dishes. So make inquiries with the restaurant staff if your reaction to gluten calls for strict gluten-free food preparation.

Many restaurants with a special gluten-free menu need advance notice for those dishes so it's always a good idea to call ahead of time.

Vegetarian Restaurants
These restaurants are either exclusively vegetarian or provide a large proportion of vegetarian options.

Vegan Restaurants
